[Needs inspecting] YouTube.com ads in videos
As seen on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANS9sSJA9Yc on US location via VPN, at ~60 second mark.
Looks like they’re HTML overlays, so shouldn’t be too hard to remove from view:
<div class="annotation annotation-type-custom iv-promo iv-promo-video" data-layer="5" aria-label="Promotion" tabindex="0" style=""><div class="iv-promo-img iv-click-target"><img src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/CAYtyj7IHrE/mqdefault.jpg" aria-hidden="true"><span class="iv-promo-video-duration">3:27</span></div><div class="iv-promo-contents"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAYtyj7IHrE" class="iv-promo-txt iv-click-target"><p><span>Brand New Norma Jean Martine Video!</span></p><p><strong>Norma Jean Martine - Still In Love With You (Official Video)</strong></p></a></div><div class="iv-promo-actions"><button class="iv-promo-expand ytp-button" title="Expand" style="display: none;"></button><button class="iv-promo-close ytp-button" title="Close"></button></div></div>
I can’t identify an individual script that provides the ads, so might need a bit more digging by someone better with JS…
